This week, former striker Alan Connell was kind enough to discuss at length his time at the County Ground. He gives his views on working under Di Canio, why he left the club and how his later achievements at Bradford City were a personal high in his career.

In July 2011, relegated Swindon Town signed non-league hot shot Alan Connell from Grimsby to spearhead their promotion campaign. He was one of the first (and arguably most successful) signings of new manager Paolo Di Canio.
